1. Provider and scope
- The app “Lesslides” (the “App”) is offered by Morav IT UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Carl-Zeiss-Straße 8, 21465 Reinbek, Germany, represented by Yusuf Haidaryar (Managing Director), registered in the commercial register of the local court (Amtsgericht) Lübeck under HRB 27042 HL, email: info@morav-it.de (“Morav IT”, “we”).
- These Terms of Use govern your use of the App on iPhone, iPad and Mac (“user”, “you”). Any terms of the user to the contrary do not apply.
- Apple’s terms (Apple Media Services) additionally apply to downloading the App and to in-app purchases. Payments are handled by Apple.
- You can view, save and print these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy at any time at https://lesslides.morav-it.de/en/agb and https://lesslides.morav-it.de/en/datenschutz.
2. Service
- With the App you scan paper documents and import photos and PDF files. The App turns them into searchable PDFs (text recognition, OCR), lets you replace text in the scan, mark up and redact, sign documents and fill in forms, and analyses documents with artificial intelligence (AI), for example for title, document type, summary, key fields, tags and questions about the document.
- Processing runs on your device, by default with Apple Intelligence. Your documents, signatures and settings are stored on your device. There is no user account and no Morav IT server; Morav IT does not receive your documents. Exceptions arise only from features you turn on yourself (sections 6 to 8) and are described in the Privacy Policy.
- All features of the App are free of charge. On iPhone and iPad the free App shows ads. The yearly subscription “Lesslides Pro” removes ads on all devices you use with the same Apple ID (section 11). On the Mac the free version is limited to 10 documents in the library; Lesslides Pro removes this limit. There are no other paid tiers.
- Some features require a supported device, a current version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS and Apple Intelligence. Without these, they are unavailable or limited.
- We continue to develop the App and may change features where this is reasonable for you and the core of the contractual service is preserved. Your statutory rights for digital products (sections 327 et seq. German Civil Code, BGB), in particular regarding updates, remain unaffected.
3. Requirements
- You must be at least 16 years old. Minors may use the App only with the consent of their parents or guardians.
- You may use the App for private and professional purposes.
4. Text recognition and AI results
- Text recognition, analyses, summaries, classifications, answers, translations and rewritten texts are generated automatically. They may be incomplete, incorrect or inappropriate. Morav IT does not review the results.
- Always check important information (for example amounts, deadlines, names, account numbers and IBANs) against the original before you use or rely on it. The App’s results are not legal, tax, financial or medical advice.
- If you pass on texts generated or rewritten by AI to others, you are responsible for checking whether you must label them as AI-generated (for example under Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689).
5. Editing, redacting and signing
- With the App you can change the appearance of scanned documents, for example replace text in the scan, redact passages, add free text and place signatures. You alone are responsible for how you use documents edited in this way.
- You may not use the App to forge or falsify documents, to deceive about their content or origin, or to sign on behalf of another person without their permission. This may be a criminal offence (for example under section 267 German Criminal Code, StGB, forgery of documents).
- Signatures you draw in the App and place in a document are simple electronic signatures. They are not qualified electronic signatures within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS) and do not satisfy the statutory written form (section 126 BGB) or electronic form (section 126a BGB). You check yourself whether such a signature is sufficient for your purpose.
- Redaction covers content in the exported PDF. Before passing a document on, check that all confidential passages are covered; this also applies to the recognized text and to older copies you have already shared or filed.
6. Optional on-device language model
- In addition to Apple Intelligence, you can download a language model for summaries, classification and questions about a document (about 1 GB). The download starts only when you confirm it and is delivered from Apple’s servers. The model then runs entirely on your device; no document text leaves the device.
- How many pages can be processed in one pass depends on the device; the App shows the value in Settings. Longer documents are summarized in sections.
- The model is provided by third parties and is subject to their licence. The licence notices are available in the App. You can remove the model in Settings at any time.
7. Optional: Claude with your own API key
- In Settings you can add your own API key for Claude by Anthropic and turn on “Use Claude”. Only then, and only in the cases described in the Privacy Policy, does the App send recognized text to Anthropic.
- To use Claude you enter into your own contract with Anthropic. Only Anthropic’s terms and privacy notices apply; any costs are billed to you directly by Anthropic. Morav IT is not a party to that contract, does not receive the data sent and is not responsible for the availability, results or costs of Claude.
- Before you send a document to Claude, you check whether you are entitled to do so, in particular if it contains personal data of third parties or confidential information.
- You are responsible for keeping your API key secret. The App stores it only in your device’s Keychain.
8. Automatic filing in folders and cloud services
- If you wish, the App saves finished documents as PDFs in a folder you choose. If you choose a folder of a cloud service (for example iCloud Drive, OneDrive or Google Drive), that provider’s app transfers the files under its terms. Lesslides itself sends nothing to the provider.
- Only the respective provider’s terms apply to your use of the cloud service. Morav IT is not responsible for its availability or data protection.
9. Rights to your documents and to the App
- Your documents, scans, signatures and inputs belong to you. Morav IT obtains no rights to them and no access to them. The App processes them on your device only to carry out the features you choose.
- Morav IT does not use your documents for advertising or to train AI models.
- The App itself, its software, design and trademarks remain the property of Morav IT or its licensors. You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the App as intended for the duration of the contract. Licence notices for third-party components are available in the App.
10. Prohibited uses
You may not use the App to
- forge or falsify documents or sign on behalf of others without permission (section 5);
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, personality rights or other rights of third parties;
- create or distribute unlawful content.
You also may not decompile or modify the App except as permitted by law (section 69e German Copyright Act, UrhG), circumvent technical protection measures, ads or subscription checks, or use the App in an automated or mass manner.
11. Subscription, ads and withdrawal
- You buy Lesslides Pro as a yearly subscription via Apple’s in-app purchase. The App shows the price and any free trial before purchase; the price is charged to your Apple ID. Lesslides Pro removes ads and lifts the limit of 10 documents on the Mac; all features of the App are also available without a subscription.
- The subscription renews automatically for another year unless you cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before it ends. A free trial converts into the paid subscription unless you cancel.
- Purchase, payment, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple. You restore a purchase in the App with “Restore Purchases”.
- Right of withdrawal: As a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for App Store purchases under Apple’s terms. You declare the withdrawal to Apple, for example at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Ads: Without a subscription, the App shows ads from Google AdMob on iPhone and iPad. Whether ads may be tailored to you is your decision in the consent prompt; you can change it in Settings. The contents of your documents are never passed to ad networks. On the Mac the App shows no third-party ads, only its own notice about Lesslides Pro. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
12. Defects
The statutory rights for defects of digital products apply. Text recognition and AI work automatically; the fact that an individual result is inaccurate or does not match your expectation (section 4) is not in itself a defect.
13. Liability
- Morav IT is liable without limitation
- for intent and gross negligence,
- for damage arising from injury to life, body or health,
- under the German Product Liability Act (ProdHaftG),
- to the extent of any guarantee given and for fraudulently concealed defects.
- For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, Morav IT is liable only for the typical damage foreseeable when the contract was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely.
- Otherwise, Morav IT’s liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
- For the use of edited or signed documents (section 5) and for third-party services you turn on yourself (sections 7 and 8), Morav IT is responsible within paragraphs 1 to 3 only for its own breaches of duty. Paragraph 1 remains unaffected in any case.
- Your documents are stored on your device. Back up important documents yourself, for example with device backups, export or automatic filing. In case of data loss, Morav IT is liable within paragraphs 1 to 3 only for the effort that would have been needed to restore the data had it been backed up regularly.
- These rules also apply to the personal liability of Morav IT’s employees, representatives and vicarious agents.
14. Term and termination
- The contract for the free App runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting the App. You cancel a subscription under section 11.
- Morav IT may terminate or discontinue the free tier with four weeks notice. Paid subscription periods remain unaffected. Both parties retain the right to terminate for good cause, for example in case of serious breaches of section 10.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for the future if the App, the legal situation or Apple’s terms change. We will inform you of material changes in good time in the App or on this website. Changes that require your consent take effect only once you have agreed; until then the previous version continues to apply. If you do not agree, you can delete the App and cancel a running subscription under section 11. Your statutory rights and claims, in particular regarding services already paid for, remain unaffected.
16. Additional terms for use via the Apple App Store
- This agreement is concluded only between you and Morav IT, not with Apple Inc. or its subsidiaries (“Apple”). Morav IT alone is responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Morav IT, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the App (such as product liability, failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection, privacy) and for third-party claims that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not listed on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App, such as those of your wireless carrier.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
- Please direct questions and complaints to Morav IT (contact details in section 1).
17. Governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution
- The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country.
- If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Morav IT’s registered office. For consumers the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
- Morav IT is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
18. Final provisions
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest of the contract remains valid; the statutory provisions replace the invalid provision. This English version is for information; the German version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
Version 1, as of 16 October 2026.
